I haven't joined BJP: Gaurav Chopraa

Gaurav Chopraa
“I am too idealistic and upfront to be a part of Indian politics right now,” avers Gaurav Chopraa. Wondering why is this Uttaran star making a statement like this? Let us tell you the entire story… Recently, the actor was approached for an upcoming film which would also feature Prashant Narayan. However, he couldn’t make it to the producer’s office in Mumbai due to his busy work schedule. The producers left for Delhi after a few days. But then they asked him to be a part of their music album launch in Delhi, he agreed to the same. Interestingly, this launch was to take place with the help of a few BJP leaders and music composer Bappi Lahiri. And when people spotted Gaurav at a BJP party office, rumours started shooting in the air that the actor has joined the political organization. When we asked him about the same, he laughingly said, “I was just there to attend a function and also discuss a few things about the film but everything took a different turn in the news world. I’d like to clarify that I am not with BJP nor am I with any other political party.” “I do not know why everyone wants to be a news flasher with social networking sites being on everyone’s finger tips. Everyone has been talking about me joining BJP. I did not even know all this till I saw it there on the sites,” he added. But would you like to be a part of a political party someday? “I’d like to come up with my own party someday for I cannot work with people who wouldn’t share my ideology.” Gaurav answered. “In fact I personally feel that people these days are getting too obsessed with political heads be it Arvind Kejriwal, Rahul Gandhi or Narendra Modi. As a matter of fact one must focus on who is going to be their local leader for he is the one who is going to solve their day-to-day issues. For if you select a wrong representative he might just be enjoying the power and not take up any responsibility,” he observed. Leadership is influence and this star can influence people easily given his good looks. Hence, don’t be shocked if he turns out be the next Kejriwal (wink wink).
