Gauri Khan lends her support to underprivileged children

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s wife Gauri Khan has pledged herself to support the education of underprivileged children of our country. The announcement was made yesterday when Gauri became the brand ambassador of Round Table India (RTI), which is a social and charitable organisation that works towards providing a better life to underprivileged and poor children by taking care of their educational needs. At an event held at Gauri’s newly launched interior store ‘Gauri Khan - the Design Cell’, the beaming star wife sounded confident while endorsing this noble initiative. “I am extremely pleased and proud of the achievements of Round Table India. I truly believe in their cause of educating underprivileged children and giving them a new and assured future. I would like to reiterate my support to RTI in providing education to children and would like to support all their endeavors going forward. I will also try and involve my friends and family from the industry to help in this great cause wherever possible,” said Gauri The President of RTI, Harish Shenoy too looked pleased at having signed Gauri as their brand ambassador. “Having a celebrity designer and a style icon like Gauri Khan as Brand Ambassador for RTI will help us further our reach and help us raise awareness about the biggest bane facing India today, which is illiteracy. RTI over the years has received generous support from many celebrities such as Kajol and Ajay Devgan, Puneet Rajkumar, and many more. We are honoured and privileged to have Gauri Khan support the activities of Round Table India.” We are sure the first wife of Bollywood can surely make a difference with her thoughts and powerful connections.
