Kanika Maheshwari feels that she has grown ‘popular’ by being hated

Kanika Maheshwari
Kanika Maheshwari throttled the Indian television with her negative and grey shaded character roles in a variety of popular shows such as Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, Raja Ki Aayegi Barat, Geet Hui Sabse Parayi and Viraasat. In simple words, she loves to be hated! Currently making her presence felt in the Star Plus show Diya Aur Baati, the gorgeous looking actress feels that the industry has given her almost everything she dreamt of. She laughed saying, “I am very delighted to be a part of this industry. Somehow I have always essayed negative and grey shaded roles, and I have grown popular by being hated.” Talking about the roles she really would like to essay on television, the beautiful and extremely talented lady stated her inclination to essaying a role in a mythological show. Kanika stated “Well, I have been a part of mythological shows doing cameo roles but I would like to try doing it full time. Amongst the mythological shows I see today, I find Devon Ke Dev…Mahadev extremely interesting. “ Married to her college pal Ankur Ghai who participated in Nach Baliye 6, Kanika re-lived her memories as she remembered the delightful moments on the reality show. She expressed, “We both have understood each other better after the show and though I initially felt that that I was more short-tempered than Ankur, my view has certainly changed after Nach Baliye. “ These days, the lovey-dovey couple is in the mood to renovate their house. Kanika blushed as she expressed how Ankur blindfolds her every day before entering her house and then surprises her by opening her eyes and showing her the developments and changes he has made. With a twinkle in her eyes she acknowledged, “Ankur has made my house into a home.” So cute, Kanika!!
