The reason behind Jethalal’s trip to London

Taarak Mehta ka ooltah chashmah has been achieving one high after another. Well, it’s only getting higher with the show’s leading family, the Gadas, going on a reel life trip to London. This track is currently beamed. However, there a story as to what led the makers to opt for this track. Apparently, the hard working Dilip Joshi had to attend a family wedding and so he requested for a few days of break from work. A little birdie from the sets informs, “The current track was created so that Dilipji can attend a family wedding. He’s currently out of the country. Being the show’s protagonist, we just couldn’t show an episode without him. So, a new track was formulated whereby Jetha and his family go on a London trip. Initially, it was only Jetha who could go but his family members win a lucky draw which sees them winning tickets to London as a prize. So, that ensured that Dilip can have his break. This will also give a chance to focus on other characters.” We sent a text message to Dilp Joshi but to no avail. Looks like the actor must have already reached the wedding venue. Well, if Dilip’s is travelling abroad, this presents an opportunity for the producers to shoot the track there itself. Producer Asit Modi says, “Yes, we will try. At the moment, Dilip has taken a break he’ll be back after 8-10 days.” Well, all we can say is that Dilip surely deserves his break. Hope our Jetha comes back refreshed from his trip and is back to what he is best at which is to make us laugh.
