Ban lifted off Gulaab Gang; movie to release tomorrow

The Delhi High Court today ordered the removal of the temporary ban imposed on the release of Gulaab Gang, thereby clearing the decks for the movie's release tomorrow. A single bench of the Delhi High Court had yesterday imposed a ban on the release of the movie after activist Sampat Pal, chief of the real Gulaab Gang, filed a petition pleading to stop its release. The producers Sahara One Media and Entertainment Ltd, through their lawyer, senior advocate Rajiv Nayar moved the division bench today and challenged the order passed by the single judge. The bench of acting Chief Justice B D Ahmed and Justice S Mridul agreed to hear the plea during the day after it was mentioned before it by advocate Rajiv in the morning and just an hour back, in an order passed, the division bench allowed the producers to release Gulaab Gang tomorrow, as per schedule. Details of the order are still awaited. As for now, the cast and crew of Gulaab Gang can heave a sigh of relief for their movie will indeed the see the light of tomorrow.
