Farhan Akhtar's Shaadi Ke Side Effects garners highest business in East Punjab

With the success of his latest film Shaadi Ke Side Effects, it looks like his last film Bhaag Milkha Bhaag (BMB) has had a lasting impression on Farhan Akhtar. The film has done highest ever business in East Punjab. This is for the first time a non-Punjabi like Farhan Akhtar has got such a huge reception in the state. Not only did Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Bhaag Milkha Bhaag did extremely well there but Shaadi Ke Side Effects is also being immensely appreciated and doing good business there. Farhan is elated that he has been able to break into the Punjab market with the aid of his previous role of Milkha Singh. “I'm overwhelmed with the kind of response that the film has been getting,” he said in a statement. Punjab is said to be one of the most difficult territories to appease; one has only seen the films of the Deols doing good business there.
