Actress Rhea Chakraborty molested in her building, lodges FIR

MTV VJ Rhea Chakraborty
In a shocking incident that still highlights how unsafe women are in the city of Mumbai, actress and former MTV VJ Rhea Chakraborty was molested right in the precincts of her building. The harrowed actress narrated her ordeal on Twitter. “Mumbai is so unsafe, it's scary to another level..I am absolutely frustrated with the men in this country .. Here this out, it's ridiculous. I just got groped by a very well dressed man who casually walks into my building in broad daylight, with 2 watchmen chilling in the building. Can a girl not walk in to her own building at 5 pm.. Where is the fucking guarantee of not getting molested. Luckily, I take martial arts classes and I managed to kick him real hard.. And screamed so he ran away.. But Mumbai is suffocatingly unsafe. Action needs to be taken , or are we waiting for 1000s more to get molested.. ?? Is anyone going to bother , elections are round the corner!" Rhea’s tweet was strongly received and supported by her industry friends. In her last tweet, Rhea was seen telling actress VJ Apeksha Dandekar that she’s good now but is going to find the molester. To initiate stringent action, Rhea filed an FIR with Khar police station and was all praise for the cops for noting her grievance down in quick time and setting their machinery into action. Later Rhea through her publicist issued a statement saying,” I would like to thank everyone for their support and encouraging words I have tweeted about this unfortunate incident only to highlight the dismal reality and ask all women to be more aware. The police are doing their job and I am confident they will get to the bottom of this matter.” We hope the alleged molestor is brought to book as soon as possible.
