Will 'Shuddhi' jinx affect Ranveer-Deepika jodi?

In film industry circles, Karan Johar's magnum opus 'Shuddhi' has earned the tag of being a jinxed project ever since it was announced in 2013 and ended up claiming the 13-year old Hrithik-Sussanne marriage! And one prays and hopes that it doesn't claim the fledgling Ranveer-Deepika Jodi... Initial reports suggest that Hrithik agreeing to work with Kareena Kapoor - something that he hadn't done since a decade - had upset Sussanne so much that it marked the beginning of the end of their relationship. Insiders confirm that Sussanne saw Hrithik's act as a breach of trust and promise. After all, Hrithik and Sussanne had got married in a hurried manner when reports of Hrithik and Kareena getting too close for comfort emerged during the shooting of Subhash Ghai’s ‘Yaadein’ and Sooraj Barjatya's ‘Main Prem Ki Diwani’ popped out. Insiders say that Hrithik had promised Sussanne that he would not work with Kareena ever again. But Karan Johar's casting coup came as a shock to her. Apparently, Hrithik had not taken Sussanne into confidence before saying ‘yes’ to Karan. And she held it against him thus paving the way for a separation. Ever since Hrithik and Kareena walked out Shuddhi, the movie has been perpetually jinxed. Apparently, no big star including SRK wanted to be part of the project. With Ranveer and Deepika now reportedly confirmed to play the lead roles that Hrithik and Kareena were slated to essay, let's hope the curse of Shuddhi doesn’t end up jinxing the lovely relationship that Ranveer and Deepika share.
