TV actresses pick their favourite style icon(s)
Being regarded as a style icon is an honor for those who have garnered a lot of attention for their great style statement. The said tag is given to a person who is very well known for being highly fashionable and inspires us to walk the same path. Every person has one style icon in their life whose fashion taste they admire and secretly worship too. In our inquisitiveness, we called up a few TV actresses and asked them as to who they consider their favourite style icon in Bollywood and Hollywood. And here is what the lovely ladies had to say…. Kratika Sengar: I like Deepika’s (Padukone) dressing sense but don’t take her as my style icon. In fact I don’t look up to anyone as one. I for one would not want to copy someone and believe in creating my own style. Mouni Roy: Audrey Hepburn is my much-loved style icon. I loved the way she carried herself. Whether it was an award function or other events, her fashion sense was commendable. I also like the British and European kind of clothing; they are too classy and stylish. Nia Sharma: Almost everyone in Hollywood has good dressing sense; hence it’s difficult to choose. But let me tell you a secret, when I was young I used to like Lindsay Lohan for her bold style statement. From Bollywood, I really like Priyanka Chopra because she wears spunky and funky kind of clothes. I can’t call her my style icon but yes we both connect a lot as her dressing sense and mine is almost the same. Sukirti Kandpal: My style icon is none other than Grace Kelly. She was not only classy but was also a fantastic woman who had a lot of grace. Aashka Goradia: From Bollywood, I like Sonam Kapoor; she has a perfect blend of good dressing and acting. From Hollywood, I like Rihanna for her assertive styling. Aishwarya Sakhuja: It has to be the ever gracious Madhubala. And to complement her looks beautifully, she also wore marvelous clothes. I also liked Karishma Kapoor from Bollywood. Back in time in movies like Hero No 1, Dulhan Hum Le Jayege and many more, she had an amazing style statement. Dimple Jhangiani: I don’t follow any Hollywood celebrity that much but I like Britney Spears. But my style icon is Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone. In fact I even try to copy a few of Deepika’s dresses and hairstyle in parties and award functions that I attend. Charlie Chauhan: I like Deepika (Padukone) a lot. She can carry both Indian and western clothes very easily and looks beautiful in them. You give a simple top or dress to her and yet she will look elegant and stylish.
