Mughdaa Shah and Nisha Nagpal in Sahara One's upcoming Masakkali

Yesterday Tellychakkar.com updated you about Sahara One’s revamp strategy in process. As reported earlier, Entertainment Hub, the sister concern of Trillogic Digital Media Ltd, will take over Sahara One and will launch two new shows namely Aaj Phir Jeene Ki Tamanna Hai and Masakkali. And now we have learnt that two beautiful looking actresses have been roped in by the makers of Masakkali. They are Nisha Nagpal, who was earlier seen in Zee TV’s Qubool Hai and Mughdaa Shah, who was last seen in Star Plus’ Ek Ghar Banaunga. While Nisha will play the female protagonist, Mughdaa will play badi bua, the head of the family. She will have two brothers of which one is being played by Syed Zafar Ali (as reported yesterday). Incidentally, Nisha will play the role of his (Syed’s) daughter. Added director Prateek Shah, “The story will revolve around Nisha whose father will always be supportive to her in the absence of her mother. The show will connect well with the masses. And this is the first time when I am working with my mother Mughdaa. So I am extremely excited to work on this project.” Confirming the news Nisha said, “Yes, I have already started shooting. My character is very lively and I am very close to my father who is supportive of me but also orthodox at the same time.” The show will go air from 31 March (2014). The makers are still working on the time slot. We shall soon come up with more updates on the same.
