Meet Arpana Agrawal and Pranshu Agrawal, the mother-son duo on television

Arpana Agrawal and Pranshu Agrawal
We have usually seen couples managing their personal life amidst their hectic shoot schedules as actors. Arpana Agrawal and Pranshu Agrawal happen to be a mother-son duo who have been enjoying their work via the challenging roles they portray on television. Little Pranshu is just 11 years old, but has got a good body of work to talk about, and is equally sincere towards his studies and acting. Pranshu will be seen in Fireworks Productions’ Hum Ne Li Hai… Shapath on Life OK, in the kids’ series titled Robo Coco Special. The kid has earlier been part of episodics of Savdhan India and Crime Patrol. He plays the junior Mrutyunjay (younger version of the male lead) in Life OK’s Ek Boond Ishq whenever the story rolls back to flashback. The little one has also featured in the movie Arnav and Jadui Locket. In Shapath, Pranshu will play the character of Nonee, who happens to be Coco’s friend. Nonee will be a dancer and an ardent fan of robots. His character will have a comic touch to it. As for his mother Arpana Agrawal, the lady hails from Indore and did not have any idea of turning an actor till the time when they shifted base from Indore to Mumbai for her husband’s work. She started her career with a small role in Left Right Left, and has done shows like Sajna Hai Mujhe Sajna Ke Liye for Shagun TV, Ek Bhar Banaunga on Star Plus, Aakhir Bahu Bhi Toh Beti Hee Hai on Sahara One. She will now be seen in Sahara One’s new show Masakkali as the male lead’s bhabhi. In a brief chat with Tellychakkar.com, Arpana talked about her son and herself. Says the lady, “Pranshu loves to perform, and it shows in the way he adjusts his schooling and acting. He is very good in studies, and also sports. He loves to dance and sketches too. Recently, when he started to shoot for the Robo Coco series of Shapath, he had his exams on. He would not mind getting up at 5.30 in the morning, study, then go to school to take his exams. After finishing his paper at 10 am, he would reach the set at 11 am to shoot his scenes. Post shoot, he would study for his next paper and sleep at around 1 in the night. He can do all this only because he is passionate about what he does.” Talking about herself, Arpana says, “I was basically an interior designer in Indore. I have won the Mrs. Indore contest twice. When I came to Mumbai, I started to act and never knew that I would get into acting completely. I have to thank my husband and son for the support they give me.” Arpana who has done few episodics of Shapath enjoys being on the sets with her son. “I have shot for Shapath earlier, and would love it if I get a chance to shoot with my son for an episodic of Shapath, now that he is part of the show. I would take any role to share screen space with him (smiles).” Way to go, you mother and son!!
