Karan Mehra popular as Naitik of Ye Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is the blessed one. He had a dose of mysticism which strengthened his belief in his favourite Lord Ganesha. The actor was taken aback when one of the tomatoes he bought from the local market resembled Lord Ganesha. A believer of the Vignaharta, Karan took it to be a blessing from the Lord and placed it at his altar.
Says Karan, “I was really astonished to see the strange resemblance to Lord Ganesha in one of the tomatoes I bought on the 16 of August. Initially it did feel a little weird but later I was just too excited to have been blessed by the Lord himself. I believe in all Hindu Gods but one can feel a special attachment with Ganesha especially if you have spent a considerable amount of time in Mumbai where Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated with great zeal and vigour. With time I have become more spiritual but this incident has surely multiplied my faith in the Almighty.”
Interestingly, when Karan bought the tomatoes it just had a trunk but by the night it had an impression of an eye. “I was simply savouring the experience. It developed in form with every passing moment. It makes me feel very fortunate”, states the actor.
So what is he going to do with it? “I have heard that one should immerse it and I too will do the same. I will keep it with me till it looks fresh. After that I will immerse my beloved Ganpati”, he concludes.
All we can add is that he surely is the chosen one.
