23-year old girl levels rape charges against actor Inder Kumar

Actor Inder Kumar, best known for his role in Salman Khan’s Wanted has been detained by the Versova police on charges of rape leveled against him by a 23-year old girl. The girl, who is believed to be known to Inder, filed a complaint with the police following which after investigations the police lodged an FIR against the actor and subsequently detained him. As for now, the girl has been sent for the mandatory medical examination. Based on her medical reports, if rape is confirmed by the doctors, the police will initiate necessary action. As for now, based on the girl’s complaint the police has booked Inder under section 376 which deals with rape and section 506 of the IPC which deals with punishment for criminal intimidation. Police sources at Versova police station said that investigations were on and further action would be taken only on the basis of the medical examination reports. Meanwhile, Inder Kumar reportedly denied all these charges. Reports quote Inder saying that he was on ‘hi-bye’ basis with the girl who is a struggler and that the girl in question had a big fight with Inder’s wife Pallavi post which he reconciled with his wife. Calling the allegations of rape baseless, Inder said, “It is untrue.” Rape allegations have destroyed many a career in Bollywood.
