Sunil Pal is the original Hasi Ka Badshaah on the Great Indian Laughter Challenge. … But now looks like very soon he will be confined to the show's history books. For long, viewers have been surprised by the comedian's absence from the show. It was even more astonishing when Sunil wasn't invited for last Saturday's special Independence Day episode.
The truth is now out in the open. It seems all is not well between the producers (Endemol) and the actor.

We quizzed Sunil about this who replied on a rather sour note. "I am not been seen in TGILC as they didn't agree to my financial demands. I was pretty forthright in expressing my views but they didn't pay any heed to it. They cajole you when you first come on to the show. However, after sometime they speak in a commercial tone. Also, with so many contestants pouring in, I didn't desire to be a part of this crowd. "
Rajesh Kamath, MD, Endemol, had this to say, "It is true that he's no longer with us. We have a very tight budget and accordingly we have to accommodate the artists. Besides, rejecting his demand, we felt that his brand of humour had become monotonous unlike Raju Srivastava and Rajeev Nigam. It doesn't help us if he delivers a particular content on our show and repeats it on the other channels throughout the week."
This looks like a classic case of an employee demanding a hike in salary and the boss showing him the door!
