Veena Malik to enter Pakistani politics

Looks like item girls of Bollywood are now turning their gaze towards politics. After Rakhi Sawant’s tryst with politics, her bete noire Veena Malik seems to have take a cue and is now trying her hand at the same, in her country, Pakistan. Veena announced on Saturday that she was readying herself to 'plunge' into politics. "Practical politics is the only way I can serve my compatriots and I want to make a difference and bring about a 'change' for the better," Veena was quoted saying. Veena Malik who is visiting her husband's family in Pakistan has always been a pro Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) supporter and has mentioned in the past that the party would be the perfect launch pad to blast off as a politician. "My political ambitions also drew a great deal of strength from my father-in-law’s passionate encouragement as he is also an Imran Khan supporter. Put simply, PTI runs in the family," Veena told reporters. It remains to be seen how well Veena would fare in politics. May be Rakhi can dole out a tip or two.
