Two eye witnesses identify Salman in hit-and-run case

Troubled times loom large for Salman Khan hereon. Two eyewitnesses Muslim Shaikh 26 (prosecution witness) and Munnu Khan 44 who is the second witness reportedly identified Salman Khan in hit-and-run case in court today. Salman, a source reveals arrived in court unshaven, dressed in a printed blue shirt and appeared quite nervous from the word go. Both witnesses told the court that they saw Salman getting down from the driver’s seat and he was drunk. Witness further reportedly told that they saw Salman fleeing away from the scene. Muslim the first eye witness in the case reportedly said, "The incident took place at 2:45 am. We were sleeping there when we heard a sound. I saw a car and the wheels ran over my left leg. Many people gathered. People were saying Salman Khan got off the car. I saw the car. It was a white colour car and a big car. Salman Khan got off the car and people caught him. One policeman got off the left side of the car. Abdul, Munnu and others were beneath the car. Salman Khan got of the right side of the car." Second witness Munnu testified, "I saw Salman get down from the driver's side. His bodyguard got down from the other side. One person got down from the car." Salman's lawyer however argued that the witness had turned hostile last time and both versions could not stand together. With two witnesses identifying Salman, things have just got messier for the macho actor. Salman is being retried for culpable homicide not amounting to murder and witness are being reexamined. If convicted, the superstar actor could face a jail term of up to 10 years.
