Abhishek Bachchan joins Aishwarya at Cannes; duo to attend Cannes gala evening

Prior work commitments meant Abhishek couldn't join his beautiful wife Aishwarya Rai for the initial red carpet events at Cannes. But better late than never. The actor finally flew down to France on 21 May. Here the twosome will attend the annual amfAR gala which funds AIDS research and is hosted every year. To be held at Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc, the evening will be attended by some of the biggest names from the world of fashion, music and business including Sharon Stone, Heidi Klum, Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, Kenneth Cole, John Travolta and Kelly Preston and Harvey Weinstein. Singers Robin Thicke, Lana del Ray and Aloe Blacc will also be performing at the event. Tweeting about the event , Abhishek wrote: "No matter how tired you are, seeing the family and holding them in your arms is the greatest cure for any fatigue!"Tonight to the 21st annual Cinema Against AIDS event with the Mrs to support @amfAR's mission to find a cure for HIV.#amfARCannes." Well, now that Aishwarya has already dazzled Cannes with her mermaid styled gown, we feel it's time for her husband to take center stage. We sure Abhishek is ready for that.
