Popular French movie 'The Intouchables' will now be remade in Bollywood by none other than Karan Johar. Karan has decided to co-produce this project along with Guneet Monga of Lunchbox fame. And guess who will be directing this project? It's none other than the Bhatts favourite Mohit Suri.
Karan made this announcement on Twitter.
"Guneet Monga (Sikhya Entertainment) and Dharma Productions will co-produce the Official remake of #Intouchables…directed by Mohit Suri….,” wrote Karan.
The Intouchables is a comedy drama and Karan was reportedly fascinated by the story and always wanted to make the movie in Bollywood. He credited Guneet for having strived hard to get the rights for the movie.
To sign Mohit to direct the movie was a decision taken based on Karan's instinct. The filmmaker was quoted saying that Mohit has a great way of telling stories in a heartfelt manner.
As of now, the cast for the movie has not yet been decided. But knowing that the original movie had one of the actor's playing a quadriplegic, we are sure that some supremely talented actor would be roped in for the Hindi remake. Wonder what the Hindi remade would be called?
