I bought track pants worth a lakh: Pratyusha Banerjee

Pratyusha Banerjee
The enchanting, bold and beautiful Pratyusha Banerjee ruled the hearts of the Indian audience with her portrayal of the strong-willed and selfless bahu Anandi on Colors’ Balika Vadhu. The gritty and tenacious actress also grabbed eyeballs with her journey in Bigg Boss and her hips swaying to spicy Bollywood numbers in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. In a free-spirited chat with Tellychakkar.com, the petite and zesty fashionista gives out a few fashion tips. Have a look… Fashion is… It is all about the wow-factor. And for me the wow factor depends a lot on how comfortable you are in the kind of clothes you wear. Comfort is what matters the most. Who chooses your clothes? I choose my own clothes. Do you wear accessories? Very rarely. It entirely depends on the occasion. I am not too much into accessories. Do you follow any brands? Well yes of course. I like vibrant youth oriented brands like Forever 21, Zara, Bebe, Forever New etc. Favourite shopping destination? Mumbai. It is the hub of fashion. I thoroughly enjoy shopping in Mumbai. Your most expensive buy? This was soon after my Bigg Boss journey ended. I brought track pants worth a lakh! My mom was about to faint when she came to know about that. Clothes you are comfortable in? I am comfortable in everything I wear, especially Indian clothing. I think a saree is a most comfy piece of clothing. I love wearing silk saris. Must have in your wallet? 2-3 lip colors, mascara, 2-3 perfumes, a hairbrush and lots of money (laughs). Favourite perfume? Calvin Klein’s Variety for women. Describe sale in one word? Sale is variety. Currently your wardrobe is overflowing with? Clothes and shoes. You have had the hardest time getting dressed for? I had the hardest time dressing for my wedding sequence in Balika Vadhu. The clothes and jewelry were really heavy and difficult to carry. Nonetheless, I looked pretty and royal (laughs). Any fashion disaster you have come across recently? Not really. If you had to choose a fashion era; which period would it be? This is very difficult to choose because I own a variety of clothes from different fashion eras. But I love the way fashion has revamped itself in the 21st century. I look up to Deepika Padukone and I love her dressing sense and the way she carries herself. So it would definitely be the 21st century.
