I am glad that I have faced more failures than success in life: Adhhvik Mahaj

Adhhvik Mahaj
‘Insecurity’ is one word that every entertainer carries on his back whether he wants it or not. Such is the business of entertainment. Recently, when we got into a conversation with Adhhvik Mahaj, the man who made his way through hardship to success, we couldn’t stop ourselves but ask him if he felt the need to hold on to Bani, for it is going off-air now (tentative date 20 June 2014) and he very humbly replied, “I am glad that I have faced more failures than success in my life. I was just 21 years old when my first film witnessed a downfall and I had to work extremely hard to climb the ladder of success. I have worked in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi films and I am now looking at doing Punjabi films. I’ve been on this battlefield throughout, but then I chose to be an actor. Someone who wants security shouldn’t try entering this industry.” What’s the plan B then? “I will be taking up anything good that comes my way. In fact I also have to continue with my martial arts practice, something that I had left mid-way. Apart from that I want to learn Marathi. I am looking out for a tutor right now.” So, you want to be a Mumbaikar in a true sense? “You can say that. I feel like conversing in Marathi when people talk to me in that language, but I fail to do so and hence the effort.” The actor will also be open to Marathi offers provided he masters the language, he admitted, “I am a hungry man. I will take up all that comes my way. Why leave Marathi cinema?” Lastly, we asked him if he would be fine with no stardom and he amazed us by praising his look-alike (http://www.tellychakkar.com/photo/slideshow/celebrity-look-alikes-will-blow-your-mind-tv-357#1 ) Gurmeet Choudhary. “I am no star. Gurmeet Choudhary is a star for me. He has worked really hard to be where he is today. Interestingly, I had met him a few years back when I hadn’t even bagged Bani and we had a brief conversation where I realized how generous a human being he was. I wonder if he even remembers me, but I find us similar in a lot of ways,” he ended with a smile.
