I was never offered Shuddhi, Aamir Khan tells Tellychakkar.com

The jinx of Shuddhi continues to perplex everyone. No one except Karan Johar knows the current status of the yet-to-be filmed movie. Going by recent reportage on the movie, after Hrithik Roshan officially dropped out of the film, Karan's believed to have offered the movie to Ranveer Singh who preferred to chose Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Bajirao Mastani over Shuddhi. Karan then apparently approached Aamir Khan and the latter was reported to have declined it too. At the live telecast of Aamir's unreleased film Chale Chalo on & Pictures, Karan Johar's appearance as the host and moderator of the chat show did surprise us. Attention was immediately drawn to whispers of Karan turning producer for a few of Kiran Rao's movies and hence his presence as the emcee at the event. Curious to know about the new bonhomie, we at Tellychakkar.com specifically asked Aamir about a future collaboration with Karan, especially after he declined to act in Shuddhi. Aamir, however sprang in a surprise and asked us, "What do you mean by saying not acting in Shuddhi? I was never offered Shuddhi in the first place," revealed Aamir. Elaborating further, Aamir said, "All those were mere rumours and there was no truth in it." Aamir also rubbished news items about Karan producing Kiran Rao's projects. "How dare he produces Kiran's movies,” Aamir smilingly joked and added, "No he is not producing any of Kiran's movies. I am there to produce her movies." Well, we wonder what will happen to Shuddhi now. A leading tabloid reported Karan having signed Salman Khan for the lead role. But looking at the way things have been panning out, even that news could be nothing but a rumour.
