Adil Hussain and Priyanka Bose's 'erotic' book reading

Adil Hussain and Priyanka Bose's
The hit pair of the movie Gangor - Adil Hussain and Priyanka Bose- were back in an action of a different kind, yesterday evening. The duo, who was the guests-in-chief at the launch of Indian erotic writer Sreemoyee Piu Kundu's new book 'Sita's Curse', took to stage to read out extracts from the erotic novel. And boy! What a marvellous session it turned out to be. Punctuating their reading with the right pauses, Priyanka and Adil literally brought the story of book alive as an enthralled audience sat transfixed to their seats listening to the pure erotica unfolding before their ears. Adil's baritone and heavy breathing had female folks in the audience gushing with delight. Ask them how they prepared for this unique assignment, both Adil and Priyanka surprised us by saying that they just read the script a couple of times and were ready to go. While most celebs shy away from anything even remotely associated with erotica, Adil and Priyanka had no such inhibitions. Says Priyanka, "When Sreemoyee called me first and told me about the erotica bit I just gave it a patient listen. Finally what made me say yes was Sreemoyee's conviction in the book and the solid foundation that she has built." The book also sees a lot of male bashing portraying men as the species that view women as pleasure gaining object. Quiz Adil on the same and the actor replies, "I am all for male bashing. Men need to grow up and respect women and we haven't been able to do that." While many books have been adapted into movies, it remains to be see if any movie maker would be interesting in creating a celluloid adaptation of Sita's Curse. And if that happens, Adil and Priyanka have already expressed their desire to be a part of it. We are sure after Gangor, this pair will rock once again in yet another erotica.
