Saala main toh Baap ban gaya
To hold a tiny bundle of joy, to watch it take its first baby steps, to hear it say its first word and to see a part of you growing each day. Words can never express how it feels when your child calls out to you and says “Daddy I love you.” This is indeed a day when we pay tribute to all the Superdads who strive to make our lives a little more comfortable each day. And on this auspicious day, Tellychakkar.com gets in touch with some of the delighted new daddies of television industry to ask them about this cherished experience. The very dashing and good looking new daddy Tarun Khanna shares, “I personally feel that I was blessed with the best father. And whatever I know about parenting, I have learned it from my dad. And now since he is no more, it makes me emotional. My son is very young now and hardly recognizes me but if I am able to impart even 10% of what I have inculcated from my father to my son, I think I’ll succeed in my endeavor to raise a good individual.” “To be honest, a baby does bring a change in both the parents. But I think it changes a lot more for the mother than the father. I think it is a beautiful extension to our family and now that Daljeet and Shaarav are staying at my in-laws’ for some time, I hardly get to spend time with him. And somewhere it kills me. I miss him very much. He is a very important part of my life”, says an emotional Shaleen Bhanot. “It’s a complete transformation with respect to so many things in life, be it responsibility or being focused. It is about giving your best and growing up. Looking at yourself from your child’s perspective, you’d realize you have so much to work on -from your patience level to your IQ .You need to be financially stable and most importantly, the answers to their curiosity should be at the tip of your tongue. It’s about being smart, patient and completely flexible”, says a determined dad Sachin Shroff. Sharad Kelkar is over the moon with his tiny princess entering his life and admits, “A lot of people might say that parenting brings about a major change in the mother’s life but it does bring in a major change into a father’s life too. It is a very different feeling seeing your daughter grow. You are responsible to nurture a life. When she smiles it makes you smile wider and when she cries, it brings tears to your eyes too. You experience this whirlwind of emotions and it’s a rollercoaster of mixed feelings. Believe me, it’s an amazing feeling.” Hasan Zaidi, who is a father to a tiny little angel says he loves the feeling and shares, “Fatherhood is indeed a life changing experience. You bring a new life into the world. It is not just a child who is born. A father is born on the same day too. The day you hold your child lovingly in your arms, it is the best feeling in the world. I never want her to face any difficulty in life and want to support her in every way I can. She is the most important thing to me and I will stand by her in every phase of her life. A father-daughter relationship cannot be defined in words.” Shailesh Gulabani seems to never get over the enthusiasm of being the ‘daddy cool’ to the cutest and mischievous duo. He shares, “It is undoubtedly a complete transformation. I think I am living the best phase of my life. You become more mature, understanding and somewhere down the line it also takes you down the memory lane to the instances where you have underestimated your parents. And it helps you rectify those mistakes. I and my kids do a lot of masti together. I play a lot with my son. It makes me feel a lot younger and lively. My daughter is sensitive and a complete doll. She needs me to cuddle and hug her. Both of them are my jaan. They are the most important things to me. It is an amazing and out-of-the- world feeling.” This Daddy’s Day, don’t forget to tell your daddy how much you love him! Tellychakkar.com wishes all the wonderful dads, a very happy Father’s Day!
