Samaira Rao out of Zee TV's next; bags two Bollywood flicks

When you cut short your one month long vacation in London and take an immediate flight back to Mumbai for a show, you expect the project to get, set and roll but that’s not what happened with actress Samaira Rao (Love Marriage Ya Arranged Marriage fame). Samaira was requested to come down to Mumbai when she was holidaying in London asap by folks at Rashmi Sharma Productions. She, as reported by Tellychakkar.com, was a part of their upcoming show on Zee TV. She was called in to shoot the pilot episode. All went well with the pilot shoot but the scenario started looking bleak when no one from the production team got in touch with her to give her an update on any further development. Samaira then learnt about the project seeing a change of hands. The reins went from Rashmi Sharma Productions to Sagar Arts. “Yes, it was all a tad confusing. I was selected by Rashmi Sharma Productions but after the change in authority, Sagar Arts wanted me to audition again. I denied it for I had already shot for the pilot. Auditioning again did not make any sense.” Now, Samaira is out of the project. Has the experience left her with a bitter taste? “I did like the storyline and I have no idea why the show did not see the light of day. Miscommunication could have been one of the pivotal reasons. Had it worked, I would have been really happy. Anyways I have moved on and I am doing other work.” Like? Please elucidate? “I have two movies in the kitty, one Rajshri Productions’ Prem Ratan Dhan Payo and down south a film called Turn West. I play a parallel lead in the Rajshri family drama and a lead in Turn West.” We wish her all the luck. Here we would like to state that other cast members of the above show finalised by Rashmi Sharma Productions have also not been retained by Sagar Arts. The names are Aleeza Khan, Kunal Verma and Krutika Desai. The show is at its formative stage. Producer Meenakshi Sagar refused to comment anything on the development.
