Kanica out of Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat

We have heard of actors threatening to quit a show and later eating humble pie but when Kanica threatened to quit Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat she meant it. The actress apparently was miffed with her co-actor Amit Dua and thus decided to quit the show. According to sources Kanica had a huge altercation with her on-screen husband and real life ex-flame Amit and post that she informed the production house that she would no longer do the show. After the actress’ announcement the production house has already auditioned some girls to step in Kanica’s shoes. The channel apparently didn’t want Kanica to be replaced as she had become popular as Rajkumari Bhoomi and it would take a while for the viewers to get accustomed to a new face. Informs a source, “Kanica has finally quit Raja… and the new face will be finalised in a day’s time. We are hearing that rookie actress Tiya has taken her place in the show but things are yet to be finalised. The actress had actually no issues with the production house but she seemed to have had enough of Amit’s high-handed attitude. The production house wanted to play safe so after she informed them of her decision they started auditioning for a suitable replacement.” Producer Rashmi Sharma, however claims that the decision was mutual and neither has Kanika quit nor has she been replaced. Says she, “Yes, she has been eased out on a happy note. We have reached a mutual consent and the actress was relieved of her duties.” All attempts to reach Kanica were futile.
