Rahul Roy finally emerged as the only participant in the reality show Bigg Boss, who lasted till the end without shedding a tear or throwing tantrums. At last his patience and sage like strategy did the magic when he was selected as the winner of the show in defiance to all expectations. "After Ashiqui (his first film which was a super hit), winning the Bigg Boss gives me a real high," says an elated Rahul, who had been missing from the acting and glamour circuit for quite sometime. On the USP of winning the show, he tells, "Have blind faith in God. If your thoughts are correct, you will win. I was strong and did not indulge in any sort of game plan but was just myself and I got personal satisfaction." Rahul's twin brother Rohit Roy has this to say about his brother's victory, "I attribute it to Rahul's boarding school background. He was the House captain during his academic years. He has always had a tolerant and calm temperament. I wish our mother, who passed away two years ago, had been here to see this. I am sure it's our parents' blessings." Was he surprised when he was declared the winner? And whom would he have voted for if he had been out of the show? "Yes," says Roy, "I thought Ravi would win. To be honest, I chosen Carol because she made efforts, she learnt Hindi and she is not from the film industry still she put up with everything in the house." Will he keep in touch with the other participants in the future including Rakhi, even after he learns what they had said about him in the show? "Definitely, the door of my house is open for my friends from Bigg Boss house. Rakhi is an amazing and genuine person whom I have most certainly forgiven," informs Rahul. It's learnt that his wife who had watched the international version of Bigg Boss in Australia had given him tips on how to conduct oneself to become a winner. Countering the charges, Rahul says, "my wife told me 'just be yourself. Your patience and understanding will work'. Which I think it did." Rahul spoke to his wife Rajalakshmi, who is Australia for the past five years doing a course in interior designing, and will soon join her in Sydney. On his prize money of fifty lakhs, he says, "My mother was a teacher and I will donate a portion for education of the less fortunate
