MUMBAI:  Anupamaa is presently ruling our television screens. The show is doing exceptionally well and is topping the weekly BARC ratings.

These days, the show's track focuses on quite an interesting narrative: Anupama and Anuj's life post-marriage. The entire story has had a big twist, with little Anu’s biological mother Maya’s entry, and how she is trying to come between Anupama and Anuj, which has now led to the separation of the couple.

 In the previous episode, Anupama is all set to go to USA to complete her dance course with Malti Devi. On the other hand, the Shah and Kapadia family is busy with Samar and Dimpy's wedding and the function has begun.

In the upcoming episode, Anuj finally confesses the reason why he couldn't meet Anupama.

He tells her that when he left to meet her, Maya tried to force herself on him. While he fought with her, he pushed her and she hit her head on the bed. She fell unconscious.

Little Anu was crying. Anuj admitted Maya in the hospital and saw her in the worst state. The doctor said that one cannot leave Maya alone as her condition can get worse.

Hence, Anuj felt guilty and responsible for Maya's state. He couldn't leave little Anu alone with her and hence, he stayed back with Maya.

He pleads Anupama for forgiveness and asks her not to hate him. But, she tells him that they have both have to walk different way as it's too late to come together now.

It will be interesting to watch how Anuj and Anupama would mend their differences.
