Aatish Kapadia who pens the highly popular daily soap<em> Baa Bahu Aur Baby</em> of Hats Off Productions, has crossed a milestone in his scripting career. Apparently news has it that he has crossed the 1700 episode mark, which comprises 1000 odd episodes of<em> Ek Mahal Ho Sapno Ka,</em> and the rest scored for<em> Khichdi, Sarabhai v/s Sarabhai</em> and <em>Baa bahu Aur Baby</em> together. And it goes without saying; all three serials have been primetime success stories!

JD and Aatish! Who JD and Aatish? For the uninitiated, the duo being referred to is Jamnadas Majethia and Aatish Kapadia, who run Hats Off Productions which has been behind Star TV's TRP toppers <em>Khichdi, Instant Khichdi</em> and the serious family drama <em>Baa Bahu Aur Baby</em>. The two are readying to roll out their new production called <em>Resham Dankh</em> on Star One come 14 August every Monday to Thursday at 9:30 pm. The show is based on Aatish's novel of the same name. For those unfamiliar with it, it has also been adapted by Chitralekha magazine in Gujarati and Marathi.

Hats Off production is all set to produce a play based on writer cum producer Aatish Kapadia's novel, <em>Resham Dankh</em>. The show will be a social thriller that will be on air on either of the Star channels (sources indicate that it could be Star One). The novel was co written by Kapadia two years ago and will soon see a version on the telly. "It's a very different kind of a story and it's interesting. We haven't done a show like this before so it will be a nice change. It has a finite end and will not go on for ever," says Kapadia, refusing to divulge any details.
