Abhijeet evicted from L’il Champs

Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs which got its Top 10 on the show will soon be left with just top nine as this weekend will see the first eviction after four wild card entries. Last week the focus was only on the performances and there was no eviction. But this week’s eviction will spell doom on the boys’ camp. One of the most talented singers, Abhijeet Srivastava will be ousted from the show.

Anchal ousted; Abhijeet apologises on Ek Se

Sanity returns to proceedings on<em> Ek Se Badhkar Ek</em>. In the days gone by Abhijeet Bhattacharya quit as a judge only to return again, host Ravi Kissen, unfortunately, will no longer be part of the show and Mandira Bedi willl replace him. Amidst all this, one lost track of the real action. News has it that one of the wild card entrants Aanchal Dwivedi and her singer partner Aishwarya Nigam have been eliminated.

Abhijeet to stay on

Barely 48 hours after declaring that he’s quitting <em> Ek Se Badhkar Ek,</em> Abhijeet Bhattacharya has had a change of heart and decided to stay on as judge on the show. Abhijeet had then objected to the wild card granted to Pakistani contestant Mussarat Abbas mid-way through the competition. Reportedly, he’s vowed to remain with the show but that doesn’t mean that his ideologies have changed overnight. The judge in him will rate Mussarat.

Abhijeet walks out of Ek Se Badhkar Ek

All hell has broken loose on <em> Ek Se Badhkar Ek</em> with judge Abhijeet Bhattacharya walking out of this Zee TV reality show. Abhijeet took this step in the aftermath of Pakistani singer Mussarat Abbas being given a wild card mid-way through the competition. A furious Abhijeet says, “I’m opting out of the show on ideological grounds. There are hundreds of Indian talented singers who wait in queue for days but yet leave empty-handed. If you ought to bring back someone then why not recall talented singers like Harpreet and Emon.”

Abhijeet turns producer

Abhijeet Sawant ,<em> Indian Idol 1</em> winner, who became a sensation of sorts with the fairer sex, is all set to don a producer’s hat. Till now his fans have seen him singing and acting, but now this multi-talented singer-actor is all set to take a plunge into production. Abhijeet will now produce a Marathi movie. The singer says, “I can’t disclose my production house’s name as it still has to be registered. The paper work is on, which will be completed in a month. The cast has been zeroed down on.” The movie will go on the floors once the paperwork is finished.

Cold war in Jo Jeeta Wohi Superstar

Competition and rivalry crept in right from the first episode with trouble brewing between the contestants of <em>Jo Jeeta Wohi Superstar.</em> There is an evident underlining friction and tussle between Toshi and Vineet with both of them wanting to perform on the same song i.e.<em> Lagan Lagan Lag Gayi Re</em> from <em>Tere Naam.</em> Toshi believes his voice is best suited to songs sung by Sukhwinder and hence is persistent on choosing the song for himself, while Vineet is confident of giving an ace performance on the song and hence insists on performing on it.

Movies beckon for Abhijeet Sawant

The success of Himesh Reshammiya as an actor has raised the hopes of other singers that they too might be able to don the hero's hat. Taking a cue from Himesh is former Indian Idol Abhijeet Sawant. The buzz goes that the singer has already signed for a film. When asked about it Abhijeet replies, "This is news to me. However, I wouldn't mind trying my hand at acting. If any good role comes my way, I wouldn't hesitate in taking it up."

The roaring judges on Star Voice of India

Squabbling judges are a regular feature on most musical reality shows. However, this squabble is turning into a near war on <em> Star Voice of India</em>. The five member jury comprising of Abhijeet, Alka Yagnik, Aadesh Srivastav and Jatin-Lalit appear more focused in scoring brownie points over each other. In fact, we think the war has reduced the contestants to play just the mandatory role. 'You come and sing, we'll fight against each other to judge your performance. So, instead of focusing on finding the <em>Voice of India,</em> we just find roaring judges.

"I am disappointed as no one supported me" - Ismail Darbar

Last year he walked out of the Zee's <em> Sa Re Ga…., </em> when his favourite contest Nihira Joshi was voted out. And this year too he was on the verge of doing the same, but on the inclusion of two new contestants! Apparently, the induction of Anik and Abhijeet (who won the Bangla and Marathi versions Zee's <em> Sa Re Ga...</em>) into the <em> Pratham Yudh</em> hasn't gone down to well with Ismail Drabar. The no-fuss judge was highly displeased about this inclusion which was aired last week.

Parents of L'iL Champs voice dissent on Aishwarya's inclusion

With the ten finalists of L'iL Champs gaining eyeballs in just three weeks since the series has begun, every step that is taken by the director, creative team at Zee, judges, finalists and their parents comes under close scrutiny. An anguished mother from Ahmedabad returns back home heartbroken with her extremely talented daughter Aishwarya Majumdar, as all attempts to convince the judges and parents of selected finalists to allow her daughter to be part of the <em>Sa Re Ga Ma Pa</em> platform proved futile.
