Ranbir Kapoor is sutradhar of Bombay Talkies

Keeping beside his busy schedule, Ranbir Kapoor has joined the team of Bombay Talkies. The film celebrates 100 years of Indian cinema. It comprises four different short films each of which has been directed by Karan Johar, Dibakar Banerjee, Anurag Kashyap and Zoya Akhtar. Incidentally, this is the first time that the four prolific directors have come together for a movie. The film will have Ranbir as the <em>sutradhar</em> (narrator); his character will tie the four short films into one film.

Amitabh Bachchan to team up with Anurag Kashyap in his next

Veteran Amitabh Bachchan is all set to play the lead in a thriller to be directed by Anurag. "I'm thrilled. Like everyone, I have also been a fan of Mr Bachchan from my growing years. Though I wanted to make a film with him for a long time, I wanted to be sure that the role is something he has never done before. While working on the short film with him, I got this idea, which we discussed and he agreed," Kashyap said in a statement.

Rani Mukerji to team up with Randeep Hooda in Bombay Talkies

All of us know that four reputed directors namely Zoya Akhtar, Dibakar Banerjee, Anurag Kashyap and Karan Johar are making a landmark feature film as an ode to Indian cinema. These films would consist of short films made by these prolific director and later clubbed into one. Now, for the film to be made by Karan Johar, Rani Mukerji will share screen space with Randeep Hooda for the first time in a Karan Johar movie titled <em>Bombay Talkies</em>. The film will also star Saqib Siddique who was earlier seen in <em>Mujhse Fraandship Karoge</em>.

Rani Mukerji and Randeep Hooda join hands with Karan Johar for Bombay Talkies

Exactly after seven years when they last worked together in Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna in the year 2006, Rani Mukerji is all set to work in Karan Johar’s upcoming film <em>Bombay Talkies</em>. Giving Rani an equal support would be Randeep Hooda. The film as a whole will include four 20-minute short stories. As a matter of fact, <em>Bombay Talkies</em> will see four directors collaborate in their resolve to commemorate 100 years of Indian cinema. Besides Johar, the other directors currently signed to the project are Zoya Akhtar, Dibakar Banerjee and Anurag Kashyap.
