DD’s popular game show <em>Smart Shrimati </em> is back with its third season. The first of its kind woman centric game brings to life all the positive qualities of a woman – Confidence, intelligence, smartness and most of all, the ability to optimise limited resources. Vineet Raina turns to DD

Vineet Raina who became popular with his character Veer from <em> Maayka</em> has turned to Doordarshan and if all goes well he will be soon seen in a new show which is not yet titled. A visibly upbeat Vineet says, "The show is directed by N. Chandra of<em> Tezab</em> fame. I have shot for the pilot with him and DD has really liked it and now I am awaiting their approval."

Gul Bano on DD

A new show titled <em> Gul Bano</em> is slated for the afternoon slot on DD from 20 July. The show which has a Muslim backdrop is produced by Pramod Kapoor and is directed by Sanjay Savitri who is a celebrated director on Marathi television. Actress Sujata K will play mother to Sooraj Thapar in the show.

A new show<em> Ashique Biwi Ka </em> from Hats Off production house is going to be launched next month on DD. The show has experienced actors like Neena Gupta, Kanwaljit Singh and Amita Nangia. Raja Mukherjee ready with new show for DD

Raja Mukherjee has been been seen on the television circuit for a while after the demise of his production <em>Prratima</em> on SaharaOne. The producer director brother of film star Rani Mukherjee, is now ready with a new primetime show for Doordarshan titled <em>Kehkashan</em>. The show will be a love story on the lines of the Yashraj film <em>Veer-Zaara</em> and will star Dimple Inamdar, Avir Goswami (Lakshya, Prratima),Arup Pal, Aleesha Hinduja and Krishnakanth (Ada).

Arjun Punjj out of Woh Rehne Wali…

SaharaOne's Rani has a brand new Raja! Arjun Punjj, who played Raj in <em>Woh Rehne Wali…</em>has decided to quit the show due to certain issues that had cropped up between him and the makers of the show. "There were a few differences…We (Rajshri Productions) can still work together in the future, if they want. It would be unprofessional of me to talk about the issues," clarifies Arjun, who had been part of shows like <em>Sanjeevani</em>, before taking a hiatus to star in a forgettable skin flick.
