Ayushmann finally got a hit with his latest release Dream Girl 2, which is the sequel to his 2019 superhit film Dream Girl. Ayushmann, who won an award for his debut song, had to face rejection in the second season of Indian Idol 2 along with singer Neha Kakkar.

Ayushmann, who is a fantastic singer himself, has now expressed his desire to play singer/musician/actor Kishore Kumar in his biopic.

Earlier there were reports that Brahmastra actor Ranbir Kapoor would play the role of the cricketer Sourav Ganguly in his biopic but then there came reports that he has been replaced by Ayushmann Khurrana.

Ayushmann Khurrana may have kicked off his journey as the Roadies winner in 2004, followed by a successful stint as a popular VJ/host. However, in the last 19 years, Ayushmann - who left a lasting impact as a promising newcomer in Vicky Donor (2012)– continues to win hearts with her impeccable singing potential and more importantly, acting chops.

Dream Girl 2 starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Ananya Panday is all set to release on August 25. Directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, it follows the story of a young man Karam(Ayushmann) , who falls in love with Pari(Ananya), but life takes a twist when he has to turn into Pooja due to some circumstances.

It’s been two years since Dream Girl was released, but the story and stellar performances of the lead pair, Ayushmann and Nushrratt, and their chemistry are still fresh in the hearts and minds of the audience.
