After playing author-backed roles in No One Killed Jessica, The Dirty Picture and Kahaani is Vidya Balan seeking a less pivotal part in her next release <em>Ghanchakkar</em>?

Sony Music Entertainment today announced the music acquisition of the much awaited quirky comedy <em>Ghanchakkar</em>. This will be an exclusive license deal for worldwide distribution of songs & videos across all digital and physical formats. <em>Ghanchakkar</em> revolves around Emraan Hashmi’s mysterious behaviour that promises to astound and entertain the audience every minute. The duo come together once again to star as the main leads in this film.

UTV Motion Pictures, the makers of Ghanchakkar has done away with Sanjay Dutt's special appearance in the film. The movie has Vidya Balan and Emraan Hashmi in the lead. The makers of <em>Ghanchakkar</em>, who had planned to cast the actor in a cameo, have been apparently been forced to call it off, given the current circumstances around Dutt's imminent surrender. All was well till the recent verdict of the Supreme Court that went against Sanjay Dutt.

A celebrity who has countless fans only knows how ecstatic admirers get when they get to see or meet their idol. On these lines, Emraan Hashmi who has innumerable fans in real life plays a diehard Mithun Chakraborty fan in UTV’s Rajkumar Gupta-directed <em>Ghanchakkar</em> in which Vidya Balan plays his love interest.
