After creating a buzz in their pairing in Balaji Motion Pictures’ The Dirty Picture, Emraan Hashmi has teamed up again with Vidya Balan in No One Killed Jessica fame director Raj Kumar Gupta's Ghanchakkar. Emraan is excited to have had a chance to work with Vidya and is also head over heels in love with the script. "The film is a very unique combination as there is comedy, suspense as well as thrills. It is great to be reuniting with Vidya (Balan) after The Dirty Picture. It was back to being with someone who is familiar to you," Emraan said.

UTV Motion Pictures today announced the release date for Ghanchakkar as 21 June, 2013. Comic-thriller Ghanchakkar is directed by Rajkumar Gupta and stars Emraan Hashmi and Vidya Balan in the lead. This is the 3rd film in a row for Rajkumar Gupta and UTV after <em>Aamir</em> and <em>No One Killed Jessica</em>. The film has music by composer Amit Trivedi and lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya.

Following Vidya, the entire unit of the under-production marital comedy Ghanchakkar has moved close to the venue of the shooting at the Essel Studio in Trombay for the next couple of weeks. Confirming this development director Rajkumar Gupta said, “We all decided to move to Trombay or close. Commuting every day from different parts of Mumbai to the studio in Mumbai meant losing precious time. We’ve just decided to stay close to the shooting until we complete the studio bit and move outdoors.”

Director Rajkumar Gupta of Ghanchakkar plans to shoot his lead pair Emraan Hashmi and Vidya Balan in busy areas of South Mumbai with secret cameras. Such locational liberties with two of the most popular stars in places like Worli, Nariman Point, Colaba and Fort, appears potentially dangerously.

Here’s some good news for the fans of Emraan Hashmi and Vidya Balan. What is the dope? Well, the much talked-about comedy movie, <em>Ghanchakkar</em>, of theirs has been preponed by a month. The shooting which was supposed to start in September now starts in the beginning of August (2012), and with a very good reason. The director wants to capture this <em>Dirty Picture Jodi</em> in the rains. Emraan and Vidya are all set to recreate their long-forgotten feeling of romancing Mumbai in the monsoon in this Rajkumar Gupta directed flick.
