Ghar Ek Sapna

There’s going to be a new vamp in Sahara One’s <em> Ghar Ek Sapna </em>. There’ll be no addition to the cast but one of the existing characters will now show her true colours. Arzoo Govitrikar, who plays the character of Vanshika will now turn negative.

Not long ago, it was reported that the Sayantani Ghosh was on her way out from Sahara One’s <em> Ghar Ek Sapna </em>. While this may not be true, one is certain that the viewers will get to see less of this Bengali babe in <em> Ghar Ek Sapna </em> for the next 2-3 months.

Resham Tipnis, whose character Trisha in <em> Ghar Ek Sapna </em> has died, is soon going to be seen in a Hindi comedy film and two Marathi films. She is still shooting for <em> Ghar Ek Sapna</em> for flashback scenes. Resham was playing the lead character’s sister in the show. “I did not want to quit the show but the creative team must have taken this decision for a reason. Maybe they wanted drama to increase the TRPs. I am ok with it,” says Resham.

2008 is proving to be the season of comebacks. Smriti Irani and Achint Kaur have returned to <em> Kyunki,</em> Rucha Gujarati is back in <em> Bhabhi.</em> Following in their footsteps are actors Varun Badola and Arzoo Govitrikar who have returned to Sahara One’s <em> Ghar Ek Sapna.</em> Varun says “I share a great rapport with the producers (Ajay and Sangeeta Sinha) thus I couldn’t refuse them. The NRI Gautam had returned to America post his marriage to Vanshikha. My character was to eventually turn from positive to negative and that’s how you will see Gautam now.”

Navneet Nishan, last seen in SAB TV’s <em> Gupshup Coffee Shop,</em> is all set to act in Sahara One’s <em> Ghar Ek Sapna. </em> Speaking on her character, Navneet says, “I play Seema Ray, who is a Page 3 journalist. She’s an upper class lady. She shares a strained relationship with her troublesome daughter. Seema will be treated by Dr Risshabh (Harsh Chhaya). It is during this period, that she learns of the kidney racket prevalent in the hospital.” As of now, the seasoned actress will only be shooting for 50 episodes.

It is reported that director Ajai Sinha is all set to make another show for Sahara One after the success of their show <em>Ghar Ek Sapna</em>. According to our sources the name of the show is <em> Unchui</em> and Ajai wants to rope in actress Niki Aneja for the lead role. It may be recalled that Niki (said to be Madhuri Dixit’s look alike) has previously played the lead in Ajai’s,<em> Astitva,</em> where she essayed the role of a doctor called Simran who was in love with a man much younger than her.

Ankur Nayyar who is currently seen in <em> Left Right Left</em> is entering Sahara One's <em> Ghar Ek Sapna</em>. He has replaced Ujjwal Rana who essayed the role of Sanmaan in the show. Ankur says he has no issues stepping in Ujjwal's shoes. "It's the channel's decision to offer me the role of Sanmaan. I have no problems stepping in as this keeps happening in our industry and somebody or the other will have to play this role," says Ankur.

Resham Tipnis who is currently seen in <em> Baa Bahu Aur Baby</em> is in a mood for a party. It’s her birthday today and she has exciting plans for the day. The actress seems to be pretty excited as she has managed to take a break from her busy shooting schedule. “I’ll be with my children on this special occasion. I’m also planning for a lovely dinner with them,” says Resham excitedly.

Arzoo Govitrikar aka Vanshika of <em> Ghar Ek Sapna</em> has bagged a role in the film<em>'Tulsi' </em>that features Manisha Koirala and Irfaan Khan. We caught up with the telly vamp, who is now eagerly awaiting the release of the film. <strong>My character…</strong>

Seems director Ajai Sinha is hell-bent to maket his Sahara One show, <em> Ghar Ek Sapna ek dum masaledar</em>. After weaving an item number,<em> kajra re</em> in one of his initial episode, he's now busy canning a mujra! A lavish set for the dance act had been erected at Future Studios' in suburban Mumbai, where a European style house was remodelled to suffice the requirement.
