Today (24 October 2012), on the auspicious day of Dussehra, three eminent personalities of the television industry are celebrating their birthdays. They are veteran actress Himani Shivpuri, singer cum actor Vikas Bhalla, who is currently seen in <em>Uttaran</em> on Colors, and actress and socialite Vandana Khattar. Shares Himani Shivpuri, “I am in Delhi for a play but I am not keeping too well. I will be with my friends today as and when we wind up with our rehearsals. My family has come down to Delhi only for my birthday. I will be going out with them this evening.”

DJ's A Creative Unit's latest offering on SAB TV, <a href="http://www.tellychakkar.com/news/dilnaz-irani-and-anjali-mukhi-shine-i-luv-my-india"><em>I Luv my India,</em></a> is a light-hearted comedy. It revolves around Sethi Family (headed by Premnath (Arun Bali) and Deep (Himani Shivpuri)) who has been residing in London for several years and decides to return to India. They are attached to their roots and want their kids and grandchildren to imbibe Indian culture, values and traditions. "The show is very close to my heart. The concept is very fresh," shares veteran actor Arun Bali.

In the last few months, new characters have been added to Star Plus' <em> Meri Awaz Ko Mil Gayi Roshni</em>. Himani Shivpuri is the latest actor to board the <em> Meri Awaz</em> bus. Elaborating on her role, Himani says, "My character has no name; I'll be addressed as Mausi (aunty), who basically is a Mirasiyan (a part of a group which entertains people in weddings and other auspicious occasions). A pregnant and a homeless Sudha (Ashima Ballah) is depressed with her life and as such wants to commit suicide. It is here where I step in as her savior."
