MUMBAI: English actor Jeremy Irvine is in talks to play Alan Scott in the series "Green Lantern".
Scott is one of the higher-profile gay characters of the DC Universe. The fictional superhero, created in 1940, was the first character to bear the name Green Lantern.
When Green Lantern was re-developed in the sixties, the hero, Hal Jordan, made his entry as a test pilot and Scott was re-introduced as a Lantern from a parallel Earth. In the multiverse, he was reimagined as gay.
MUMBAI: Actress Salma Hayek says she was "shocked" when asked to reprise her starring role of Sonia Kincaid in the upcoming action comedy "Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard", sequel to the 2017 hit "The Hit Man's Bodyguard".
The 54-year-old plays is cast alongside Ryan Reynolds, Samuel L. Jackson, Antonio Banderas and Morgan Freeman in the sequel.
"Quite frankly, I was shocked. I've been in so many movies where we get the call: 'Oh my God, you're one of the most liked characters in the film.' So many times," she said, according to contactmusic.com.
MUMBAI: Actress Mischa Barton claims she faced bullying on the set of the popular show "The O.C".
"It's a bit complicated. It started pretty early on because it had a lot to do with them adding Rachel (Bilson) in last minute as, after the first season, a series regular and evening out everybody's pay -- and sort of general bullying from some of the men on set," Barton said, according to a report in femalefirst.co.uk.
