Karan Oberoi counters back the irrational arguments around the ban on crackers

When it comes to music on television, it’s Bollywood that echoes across most musical shows. For a change, here comes a show that will feature some of the best bands across India and Pakistan perform under one roof. Talking about this show, Karan Oberoi of Band of Boys fame says, “The show is called <em> Unplugged</em>. It’s likely to hit airways next week on Zee Music. In the past, we’ve had established singers from Bollywood perform on television. But <em>Unplugged</em>is a show wherein each week you will only see the various pop and other bands perform.”

After the success of his first two albums <em> Yeh Bhi Woh Bhi </em> and <em> Gaane Bhi do Yaaron,</em> Karan Oberoi’s <em> A Band Of Boys </em> is all set to hit the music world with the band’s second album. The actor-singer’s band is all geared up to release their third album titled <em> Ghanta- the bell.</em>

Karan Oberoi was livid with fellow actor Shraddha Nigam after the latter’s prank didn’t amuse him a wee bit. The two were rehearsing for Sony’s special event <em> Bura Na Mano Holi Hai</em> . when Shraddha started accusing Karan of misbehaving and passing indecent gestures. A shell shocked Karan pleaded innocence but Shraddha stuck by her guns. When she finally broke the ice, Karan wasn’t amused at all and walked off in disgust.

Actor-singer Karan Oberoi and Mona Singh’s boyfriend is all set to produce his first serial for Zee Telefilms Ltd. The actor claims that his serial is not going to be a regular <em> saas-bahu </em> drama. Karan says, “I don’t do regular things. This is not going to be a regular serial.” He adds, “If you see my music videos and the serials I have acted in, they are not the regular ones. If it is regular I would not want to be associated with that. This is a serial with a definite end. It’s too early to divulge any details.”

Singer-actor and <em> Antakshree</em> host Karan Oberoi has added a new feather to his cap. Karan has now become a producer. Speaking on this development, he says, “I’ve opened a production house and it’s called Artistic Unlimited. We have few projects on hand and I expect them to go on air by January. It’s too early too divulge any details. All I can tell you right now is that we are working at two fiction shows and two non-fiction subjects. The non-fiction ones are related to music.” Can we expect something different from this producer?
