Sid Makkar, who rose to fame with Zee's Betiyaan is enjoying his current stint with <em>Mere Apne </em>on 9X. He is essaying the role of Shankar, the youngest son of Kashinath Pandey (Vinod Khanna) in the show. Sid is so fond of Shankar's character that now he wants to be like him in real life as well. "Shankar is the character that is very close to my heart. I would love to be like him in my real life too," says Sid.

Aashka Goradia is on cloud nine. After Smriti's <em> Virrudh</em> on Sony, the pretty actress has bagged a plum role in <em> Mere Apne</em> on 9X. Happy with this arrangement she wants to stay on with Ugraya Entertainment (Smriti's production company) for some time now. We caught her in a very cheerful and upbeat mood.
