Poonam Dhillon's play Perfect Wife opens today! Thursday night saw her throw a special show for select media and guests. The play was attended by actors from the Hindi theatre, Television and the film industry. Amongst the crowd what caught our eye was the very noisy Pooja Bedi with arm candy Hanif. Pooja compensated for his silence with all the chatter and a series of loud laughs. Luckily, as she knew most of the audience, she was pardoned for the all the possible disturbance caused.

Recently Ekta Kapoor announced on a media platform that post Smriti's decision to quit Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabi Bahu Thi, there are three veteran actresses namely Padmini Kolhapure, Gautami Gadgil, Poonam Dhillon that she has approached to essay the legendry Tulsi Virani. Industry is abuzz with rumours that Poonam Dhillon might replace Smriti Irani in the pivotal role of Tulsi in Balaji's flagship show "Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi".

Poonam Dhillon is the flavour of the season in Pakistan. While her 1984 film, Sohni Mahiwal, is the only Indian film allowed to be screened in Pakistan, she is also doing a serial for a Pakistani TV producer, Anila Khan. “I was surprised when I got this call from Anila. But I loved the concept and said yes immediately,” she reveals. Portions of the serial have already been shot in Pakistan in December 2005.

Sooraj Thapar who is still remembered because of Manish Goswami's Daraar is missing in action for quite some time. He was last seen in Jassi Jaisi koi nahi, in a role which was an exact replica of the character previously played by Rajesh Khera (Maddy) on the same show. The actor is currently doing a play with Poonam Dhillon called, The Perfect Husband and is getting good feedback for his performance.
