After a bad bull run of soaps, Sony will now offer two Balaji soaps to viewers. Ekta is all set to produce two new shows for the channel, namely <em> Krazy Kiya Re </em>and <em> Kambakht Ishq.</em> Both the channel and the production house are banking on these upcoming soaps to lift their fortunes. Though Sanjay Upadhyay, Creative Head Fictions Sony, remained tightlipped about the shows but said, “Balaji is making a show for us to fill in our prime-time slot, but it will be too early to divulge any details as everything is in the initial stages.”

Pulkit Samrat who is currently in the news for all the wrong reasons is now on a sabbatical. After getting out of <em> Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi…</em> the actor has kept a low profile but he now wants to bury the hatchet with the production house. You have recently said that you want to go back to Balaji? “Why should I unnecessarily create tiffs with anybody? I want to solve this misunderstanding amicably. Simi Garewal is all set to judge a musical entertainer “</em>Say Shaava Shaava</em>” starting January 2008 on NDTV Imagine. Joining her as a co-judge is director and TV host, Karan Johar. Together they will judge the singing capabilities of soap stars<em> Aman Verma, Apurva Agnihotri, Divyanka Tripathi, Juhi Parmar, Mannish Goel, Mouni Roy, Narayani Shastri, Pulkit Samrat </em>and Sumeet Raghvan.

The winner of last year's best fresh new face award, Pulkit Samrat better known for his character of Lakshya in <em>Kyunki Saas Kabhi Bhi Bahu Thi</em> is not a very happy man these days. The actor is suffering from back ache and has to go through a lot of ordeal while shooting for the daily. When contacted the actor says, "I have been suffering from back pain for some time. I even went to Dubai to get treated but have not fully recovered. Even on the sets I cannot remain standing for a long time. It's become a problem while shooting long sequences."
