Randhir Kapoor
To introduce music baron Kumar Taurani’s son Girish Taurani as a leading man, director Prabhudheva has selected the title of a vintage Raj Kapoor song.
Ramaiya Vastavaiya is the title of a classic song from Raj Kapoor’s 1955 classic Sri 420.
Now Prabhu Deva wants permission to use that song in the film to launch Girish Taurani.

When they worked together as hero and villain 38 years ago in the blockbuster Haath Ki Safaai, Randhir Kapoor and Vinod Khanna barely exchanged pleasantries on the sets. Today, when they’re working together in Prabhu Deva’s untitled love story in and around Pune… the two veteran actors have hit off so well that the director frequently finds himself waiting with a patient smile as they wrap up their conversation before a shot.
And now when Randhir Kapoor’s daughter Kareena’s wedding loomed large the father of the bride had to take a chunk of time off from film’s schedule.

It’s quite logical, really. To have the year’s biggest wedding-and we don’t need to state which one-would be held in Mumbai instead of Saif Ali Khan’s native place Pataudi, as planned earlier.
It was the father of the bride Randhir Kapoor who approached the mother of the bridegroom Sharmila Tagore requesting that the venue be shifted from the Pataudi’s ancestral place to amchi Mumbai.
