Renuka Shahane turns script writer

After her <em> Jeete Hain… </em> relaunch debacle Renuka Shahane has tuned all her energies in writing a script. The actor has completed writing a script for a Marathi film based on her mother Shanta Ghokhale's award winning novel Rita Welingkar. Renuka will also be assisting Ashutosh Gowarikar, who's directing the film.

Renuka to direct Rajeshwari Sachdev

The Maharashtrian actress, who blossomed from <em> Surabhi</em> to the recent <em>Jite Hain Jiske Liye,</em> is all set to make her directorial debut with a Marathi film,<em> Rita</em>. Known as a trend setter for 'the <em>bhabhi'</em> role in Bollywood (<em>Hum Aapke Hai Kaun</em>), Renuka Shahane is very excited about this project, "I always wanted to be behind the camera and now my wish is coming true." The movie <em> Rita</em> is an adaptation of a novel 'Rita Velankar' penned by Renuka's mother, Shanta Velanker.

"I'll go back to my kids now" Renuka Shahane

Despite the disappointment on her comeback vehicle <em> Jeete Hain Jiske Liye</em> winding up before time, Renuka Shahane, the actor with that million-dollar smile, is happy about getting back to her children a la the protagonist Anjali in the serial. "Yes," she says excitedly, "I will be back with my sons Shouryaman and Satyendra, who are in Sr.KG and nursery respectively. I missed going to their schools."

Industry watchers are waiting with bated breath the comeback of seasoned actor Renuka Shahane on the small screen with Sony's <em> Jeete Hain Jiske Liye</em>. But another smashing artist who's also returning with this project is the classy Ayub Khan, who plays the male lead in the show. Well known for his association with meaningful cinema, Khan has been consistent with his taste even when it comes to television.
