Ritu Choudhary more famously known as Shobha of<em> Kyunki…</em> has kept a low profile after<em> Meri awaaz Ko Mil Gayi Roshni </em> went off air. She was busy shedding her extra kilos during the break but now she is back with Balaji. The bubbly actress has reversed her gear as she is back as Shobha in <em> Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi</em>. “It is like a home coming for me. I love each and every moment of the show,” says Ritu.

Ritu Choudhary who was last seen in <em> Meri Aawaaz Ko Mil Gayi Roshni</em> is on a sabbatical. She had bagged the show after a year long break and to her misfortune it was suddenly pulled off air. Now Ritu is relaxing and focusing on herself. But more than anything she is waiting for a different role to come her way. “I want to play a negative role in a show. I’m bored of playing only good roles and now want to try something different,” says Ritu.

Shobha of <em> Kyunki… Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi</em> aka Ritu Choudhary has resumed work after a gap of one year. She has entered Star’s <em> Meri Awaaz Ko Mil Gayi Roshni</em> as Sunita. The show has already taken a leap and the new family has been introduced. “I was on a vacation for a year as I wanted to give some more attention to my family and my self. I took up this show as I liked the concept and its very well- written. Another reason was the channel (Star Plus) and the production house (FOX Production). It feels good to come back to work,” says Ritu.

Star Parivaar Awards has ended with galore and fun. Most actors could be a part of the gala nite except for the little lady who won the 'Best Nanand (sister-in-law) award'. Ritu Choudhary who plays Shobha in <em>Kyunki</em>... has been confined to her bed since three weeks. She has a back ailment. "One day, I was getting out from my car and couldn't walk any further. I consulted my doctor only to realise that something has gone wrong in the muscle in my back," explains Ritu, flashing her soft smile.
