Actor Anupam Kher on Wednesday announced the remake of Odia film Pratikshya in Hindi, which highlights the dynamics of a father-son relationship.

Recalling his acting stints in school plays, renowned actor Anupam Kher has said that his first acting stint was a disaster, but his father encouraged him for at least trying his best.

Anupam Kher feels that someone should come up with a novel based on his 1984 hit film <em>Saraansh</em>. "I think a novel on <em>Saraansh</em> should come up. It will make a great story... as it is about the relationship between parents and their son. It will be a good story to read in novel format," Kher observes. <em>Saaransh</em> was a story of an old Mumbai-based Maharashtrian couple coming to terms with the death of their only son who is killed in a mugging incident in New York, The film marked the screen debut of Anupam Kher.
