Dollar dreams and the fixation to net an NRI groom plagues the whole of India and that includes rural India too. Bani – Ishq da Kalma (Mystic Entertainment and Colosceum Media) is based on the stories of some 30,000 Indian brides who have been forsaken by their NRI husbands.
Shefali Shah who received accolades for her acting in Zee’s Hasratein (in mid nineties) gave up television for Bollywood. A choosy Shefali is not seen any more on television.
But now the actress is desirous of returning to the small screen but to host quiz shows or talk shows. Shefali says, “I do want to come back to television but only to host quiz shows or talk shows. I don’t want to do the regular shows currently on television as they do not interest me and they seem to follow the same track. So I am just waiting for some good hosting offers to come my way.”
Shefali Shah's return to television has been temporarily stalled! Sony has decided to put off Kehna Hai, a chat show on social issues that was to be hosted by the actor.
As was reported earlier by Tellychakkar.com (Shefali returns to television with Kehna Hai), the show was supposed to be on air in December 2005, but it never took off.
