Following the long-running family drama's third generational leap in 2021, Mohsin Khan and Shivangi Joshi were replaced as leads Abhimanyu and Akshara, respectively, by Harshad Chopda and Pranali Rathod.

There was news doing the rounds that Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai was going to face an axe from the channel owing to low TRPs but now Tellychakkar has exclusively got to know that the show will not be going off–air.

The show's TRPs have fallen as well since viewers fell in love with the original plot. The old cast was a hit to watch, and people enjoyed their camaraderie. Many BTS videos and pictures gained widespread popularity following the conclusion of the Generation Three narrative.

The production company and the channel formally announced last month that Harshad and Pranali would be leaving the show following the time shift. Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai's new stars, Samridhii Shukla and Shehzada Dhami, joined the popular serial in place of Harsh Ali.

Actor Shivam Khajuria plays the role of Rohit in the show, and Shivam has been a part of amazing shows like Molkki and Mann Sundar.

Shruti Panwar will be portraying the role of Armaan's mother Vidya in the show. The actress opens up on her first reaction for bagging Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.

Samridhii Shukla will be essaying the role of Abhira while Shehzada Dhami will be seen as Armaan in Star Plus' popular drama series Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.
