Sooraj Thapar who was last seen in SAB TV’s Bhai Bhaiyya Aur Brother, returns to the small screen with yet another challenging role in Colors’ upcoming show, titled Gurbani. The show which will focus on the plight of women who get deserted by their NRI grooms (social malaise prevalent in regions of Punjab) will replace Parichhay at the 10.30 PM slot from mid-March. The show is being jointly produced by Damini Shetty’s Mystic Productions and Colosceum Productions.

Vipul Amrutlal Shah and Deven Bhojani launched Productions’ Bhai Bhaiya aur Brother on SAB TV with much fanfare. Deven had a lot of expectations from the show. But only two months since its launch, <em>Bhai</em> is being pulled off air. Yes, due to constant low numbers, the channel has decided to pull the plug on it and the show will air its last episode on 10 August 2012.

The petite phataka bought her first home during the festival of lights. Located in Mumbai's Oshiwara's area in Andheri West, the house is all of two and a half Bedrooms. Her co-habitants in the locality including many TV and film celebrities like Anoop Soni, Sonia Kapoor, Sooraj Thapar, Tarun Khanna, and Tisca Chopra.

Actor Sooraj Thapar was in for a pleasant surprise on Sunday when his good friend and Chairman of Parent Teacher Association, Anil Murarka threw a surprise party for him at Masala Mantar in Andheri. Close friends and relatives poured in to share in the celebration. Among the guests were Poonam Dhillon, Prabha Sinha, Rajeev and Delnaaz Paul, Rakesh Paul and Sunaina, Rekha Sahay, Sudhir Pandey and Jiten Lalvani. However, it wasn’t the birthday boy who stole the show, but it was Raju Shrivastav, who with his stand up comedy kept the guests rolling with laughter.
