Star Plus, the #1 GEC has always been innovative in their thought process when it comes to attempting something new. The news coming in is that the channel is now planning to air interesting and thought provoking short films as part of their weekend programming. Though the planning is still at its nascent stage, we hear that the channel is in talks with prominent production houses like Director’s Kut, BBC Entertainment, Sunshine Productions, Spellbound Productions, Playtime Creations, amongst others, for making short films.

Tellychakkar.com had earlier exclusively reported about Sunshine Productions planning a youth based show for Channel V. Here we bring you more information on the same. The big news is that seasoned actor Manav Gohil will be making his comeback to television with this show. He will be essaying the role of a teacher in the college, and his will be a very prominent character. Fahad Ali – who was seen in Balika Vadhu – Cheshta Bhagat and Jatin Sharma will form the prime cast.

Sunshine Productions’ show on Colors, Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha is rapidly climbing up on the TRP chart. Currently in the show, Mohan (Kunal Karan Kapoor) has come into the good light in front of the Vyas family after he helped crack the Amar (Rohit Bharadwaj) murder case. In fact, the head of the Vyas family, Papaji (Anjan Srivastava), went ahead to invite Mohan for dinner. In the upcoming episodes, viewers will see Mohan trying his best to woo Megha (Aakanksha Singh). And there is a big twist in the kitty.

Channel V is all set to entertain viewers with their latest offering, Suvreen Guggal...topper of the year. The lead character of Suvreen is being played by Smriti Kalra, who was seen in Sunshine Productions’ Karol Bagh (ZEE TV). The promos are already out and the show will hit the screens on 19 March 2012. It will be aired at 6.30pm and 8pm (repeat telecast). Now, veteran actor Akshay Anand will also be seen in the serial.
