Well, there is some good and bad news for all our TV shows as TAM (Television Audience Measurement) will now also be taking into account the ratings of MP, UP, Punjab, Gujarat and Rajasthan in week 5 (28 January- 2 February 2013). Ever since digitization came into force, TAM had been taking just the metro ratings into consideration. However, this week onwards, they have decided to also consider the ratings of MP, UP, Punjab, Gujarat and Rajasthan. Now, viewers can expect a lot of surprises in the coming week.

The battle to supremacy continues amongst the popular GECs, and what do we see? Quite a lot of changes in the GRPs of the top-rated channels.

We are back again, as usual on Wednesday morning to analyze the TRP of Week 3 of 2013. And what do we see? A turnaround in GRPs of not one, not two, but three major GECs. Well, Star Plus has done an amazing job in holding to its previous week’s GRP, i.e. 241 while Zee TV has climbed the ladder to secure the second spot with 215 GRP (compared to 195 last week). Colors devoid of Salman Khan magic over the weekends with the culmination of Bigg Boss has dropped in numbers and takes the third position with 210 GRP (245 GRP last week). <strong>Ratings of Channels: </strong>

TAM has gone ahead to release television rating for the week 52. Like always, Star Plus is perched on the number one position (245). Colors has seen a rise and surged ahead to bag the number 2 position with 238 GRPs. Sony Entertainment Television and Zee TV tie for the third position with 198 points.

Star Plus is back on the number one position with 250 GRPs. Zee, which saw a spike and bagged the number one slot on week 36 is at number two position this week with 240. Here, it is necessary to mention that Star Plus surged ahead not because it earned extra GRPs (week 36 also has 250 points), but Zee saw a slump in numbers (251 in week 36).
